Hello family, friends, other internet users! I am here asking for your help. Right now, children are battling medical issues including leukemia, tuberculosis, and other debilitating diseases. We have an opportunity to lessen the burden on children and their families facing difficult and traumatic health concerns. With our collective efforts, we can fortify and support our medical networks capable of making this a reality. This is where Extra Life comes in!

What Is "Extra Life"?

Millions of gamers around the world are raising funds for their local Children's Miracle Network (CMN) hospitals. Since its inception in 2008, Extra Life has raised over $100 million for the 170 CMN hospitals which provide 32 million treatments annually.

This year I am participating in the following events:

• Tabletop Weekend: April 12-14, 2024
  Aligning with National Board Game Day on April 11, this weekend kicks off the annual Extra Life fundraising campaign for 2024.
  • Sat, April 13: Lego building stream! Starting at 1pm EST I will stream while assembling a fun Lego kit inspired by a prominent video game. Stay tuned for more details!

• Game Day: November 2, 2024
  This day marks the official commencement of a 25-hour gaming marathon. Extra Lifers all over stay up all night (or break this up over a couple of days) and game For The Kids!

Why Do I Extra Life?

I believe children deserve a fighting chance for their future; to me, this means we have a moral obligation to make medical resources and services quickly accessible one way or another. I have been playing video games all my life, I felt an annual campaign to help sick children centered around gaming was a perfect fit for me.  This fundraiser began decade ago as a fun excuse to play video games with my friends until all hours of the morning while eating junk food; it still is, but since then we have raised over $15,000 for CMN hospitals.

I am raising funds for Boston Children's Hospital (BCH). BCH's main campus resides in Boston, Massachusetts but it has several satellite locations in the surrounding Greater Boston area. US News & World Report 2017 ranked BCH within the top three across 10 pediatric specialties, including ranking first in half of them. I can personally thank BCH for providing top quality urgent care for my family, as well as for their collaboration with my graduate program which enabled me to gain first-hand experience with state-of-the-art radiology and nuclear medicine facilities to supplement my study of health physics.

CMN hospitals provide routine and specialized pediatric services from checkups to family counseling to emergency care. However, CMN hospitals still largely depend upon donations to operate. This is where you can help.

Donation Incentives!

In addition to the incentives below, for every dollar I receive in donations by individuals, I will personally match an additional $0.25 to CMN hospitals (up to a max of $250 from me). That means that every donation is worth 125%, with every penny going directly to the local hospital.

Radiohacktivity Stream Incentives*

These incentives involve my Twitch channel (twitch.tv/radiohacktivity); these tasks will either be done right away or planned for an upcoming stream. These can be redeemed on Game Day as well.

• $5 → Aye Eye: I will stick a googly-eye on my face for the rest of the stream!

• $10 → Bird-up: I will fold an origami crane and write your name, gamertag, or short message on it during the stream and add it to the collection!
  
  
• $20 → Feat of Strength: I will perform one of the feats of strength below on stream (your choice):
  
  
  • Squat for ~15 minutes of gaming
  • Flip my controller upside-down for ~15 minutes gaming
  • Flip myself and play upside-down for ~10 minutes gaming
    
    

• $40 → 2d20 Hot Chip: I will put the total of two 20-sided die rolls worth of hot sauce drips on one chip and eat it during the live-stream!
  Max 2-3+ hot chips per stream depending on how they go!
  
  

Game Day Incentives*

These incentives (*) involve the Game Day stream on November 2, 2024.

• $75 → Pie Time*: I will take a whipped-cream pie to the face during the live-stream!
  Max 5 pies during stream; this will be worked into the schedule as a special event.
