Why I Extra-Life:

Approximately 3,000 new cases of Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) are diagnosed each year in the United States. In January 2018, my beautiful, brave niece, Felicity, joined nearly 30,000 Americans in combating a rare, life-altering, and potentially devastating condition. Felicity underwent invasive surgery and had an AVM removed from her mouth and upper jaw bone on July 30, 2018, but despite two blood transfusions, multiple surgeries and cauterizations, and a failed attempt at embolization in interventional radiology, she still has two areas left behind that are so deep into the bone the doctors would have had to deform her face to remove them.

Without the support and care of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and their incredible doctors, my niece would not be here with us today to share her smile, laughs, and kindness with the world. My niece is one of the many brave, beautiful children treated by Children's Miracle Network Hospitals; I Extra-Life for her, and #ForTheKids. 💙💚

I am thrilled to be participating in my 13th year of Extra-Life, #ForTheKids! Below are some of the ways I will be supporting CMNH this year:

#365DaysOfGaming Challenge: I will be committing to 1 hour of gaming EVERY DAY in 2023 to raise funds for CMNH & the children they treat.
