Harkalarka

A long long time ago, in a New Jersey far ,far away...

A nerdy boy named Harrison fell very ill. His ailments were a mystery for a long time, but eventually he had his diagnosis, Lyme Disease. New research would show more maladies could be spread by ticks. New tests would show he had them. New treatments would be discovered to aid him in his fight. Though he still bears the scars, his battle was eventually won.

That nerdy boy eventually grew to be me, a nerdy man called Hark. Because of all those new research, new tests, and new treatments I'm still here. But you know what else was just as important? Gaming. While playing games, my body wasn't weak or in pain. I was the powerful hero capable of saving the world.

Extra Life gives us the power to provide that new research and those new tests and treatments. Even more importantly, it helps kids feel better. Gaming can provide a welcome distraction from the scary parts of illness and being in the hospital. Together, we can be the heroes that make the kids be powerful.
