Extra Life 2024

DONATE
On November 24th and 29th, I'll be playing games for a total of 24 hours to raise funds for sick kids at my local children's hospital!

Here's how it works

  • Extra Life is a 24-hour fundraising and gaming marathon to support Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

  • I'll be streaming 12 hours on Nov. 24th and 12 hours on the 29th to hopefully get donations from folks like YOU to help our kids everywhere!

  • 100% of the donations go to John's Hopkins Children's Center. TOGETHER we will make a difference for sick kids!

Your donation is tax-deductible and will make miracles happen for families who desperately need them. You can click the "Donate" button at the top of this page to make a safe and easy online donation.

Why?

The reason I do extra life is because of a friend from high school named Brandon Peele.

I have a lot of regrets of not spending time with Brandon - we'd always talked about getting together and jamming (we had the same taste in music) or playing video games. Not shy, but quiet I think is the best way to describe him, along with all the niceties that come with being a super chill dude.

But he has a rare form of cancer - Demoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor. It was hard to spend time with him. He'd disappear for weeks at a time getting treatment or going into remission. He fought that like it was a boss from Dark Souls, you know? Difficult but pushing through at every stride. There was this long stretch of seeing him at school, and seeing him revitalized, beaming and going on like a brand new kid.

If extra life existed earlier maybe things would have been different. I regret not knowing about it when it started in 2008. I regret not jamming with him. I regret not spending more time outside of class or lunch with him. Maybe it would have been easier for him if it was around, or he could have beaten it.

If you can, please help. Don't let anyone else see a 15 year old kid in an open casket. It would mean a lot to see some help go to children in his name. Here is his obituary if you would like to know a little bit more about him.
