WHY I PARTICIPATE IN EXTRA LIFE

I participate in Extra Life because I believe that gaming can be used as way to help others, especially with children fighting terrible and scary illnesses. I chose Nicklaus Children's Hospital because that hospital was a major part of my childhood (when it was previously called Miami Children's Hospital), ranging from simple things like checkups to serious issues like getting Baker Acted multiple times for mental health problems in my past. The staff there always do their best for the kids they are treating and I want to do my part to help as a way of showing my appreciation. After seeing Jack and Cait from Rooster Teeth streaming and doing crazy activities while playing video games, I knew exactly what to do. It has been a fun and crazy ride since 2016, but I'm looking forward to playing more games and completing bizarre stretch goals Let's Change Kids' Health, because Kids Can't Wait!

How I PARTICIPATE IN EXTRA LIFE

In the past, I've fundraised by using my following and skill set as a cosplayer to raise money for Nicklaus Children's Hospital. This can range from raffling off tickets to conventions and to completing stretch goals (such as drinking hot sauce) while attending conventions as a cosplay guest, but since COVID came around, I decided to become a Twitch Streamer and fundraise for the hospital that way.
