Donations stay local to fund critical treatments, healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care.

We're on a mission to play games to help change kids' health. Since 2012, Campus Gamers events at CSUB and other schools and locations in Bakersfield have raised over $200,000 for the Lauren Small Children’s Hospital. Anyone can join our team. The funds we raise go towards life-saving medical equipment – not games!

We want to meet you!

Most Extra Lifers play individually from home. We like to get together and play in groups, and it’s been a long time since we could do that, so we’re going all out! We are holding our first Extra Life event of the year on Saturday, April 23rd at the CSUB Student Union from 9 am to 9 pm. There will be over 30 consoles there (new and old), plus board, card, and tabletop games. You can also bring your own gaming gear if you prefer. A free lunch will be provided by El Pollo Riko and Associated Students Inc. at CSUB. Parking will be free in Lot M. There is no fundraising minimum to attend the event but you do have to be registered with our team (and the Lauren Small Children’s Hospital). We will have a donation drawing for donations made at the event and funds raised online. The prizes are amazing, some of them worth $200-$400 each!

Register here for our team, and then go to to RSVP for the event.

Can’t make the event?

When you sign up for Extra Life, you can play any game, any day, any place, for any length of time you choose. So even if you can’t make this event (or others), you can still participate and help us help kids in Kern County.
