Extra Life 2020

The Bottled Fuchsia 12+12 Hour Socially Distant Extra Life Gaming Marathon will take place from 10AM - 10PM  EST on Saturday, November 7th, and Sunday, November 8th 2020!

Game to please

Extra Life is a 24-hour fundraising and gaming marathon that benefits Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. We are supporting two hospitals this year! All donations collected by Aaron will go to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and donations collected by Cory will benefit the Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital in South Carolina. Donations are tax-deductible, and 100% of the funds go straight to the hospitals, so this a great chance to make a difference for kids in need! Click the Donate button at the top of this page to contribute.

What is bottled fuchsia?

We are a group of friends who started podcasting about our common passion, video games, way back in 2012. Over the years, we've been to conventions, recorded gameplay and impressions videos, and livestreamed for both charity and fun. We've been on hiatus for the past year, but are excited to dust off our webcams and mics for Extra Life!

Our first Extra Life event was in 2013, when we were Team Moon Moon under the leadership of Captain Deb. That makes this our eighth year! Some great moments from our past marathons include:

  • Fretting over THE BABY in Metroid: Other M
  • Taking turns in the Horror Attic with its very real spiders
  • Puzzling our way through the scary cheesiness of Until Dawn (literally until dawn)
  • Attempting to stump each other with Super Mario Maker levels
  • Failing the Wrath of the Machine raid in Destiny by one missed throw
  • Racing side-by-side to the Dark World in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
  • Throwing down some dope monotone rhymes in Jackbox's Mad Verse City
  • Dealing with CYCLOPENES in Destiny 2's Garden of Salvation raid

We have to do things a bit differently this year. In the interest of social distancing, we'll all be remote, and will hand off streaming duties at various points. Also, since Mixer has closed its doors, we're heading back to Twitch for our broadcast. And, for the first time, we'll be splitting the event into two 12-hour segments instead of going for a straight 24 hours. We'll run from 10AM - 10PM EST on both Saturday, November 7th, and Sunday, November 8th.
