Extra Life 2017

Join Our Team

Hey there!

Welcome to our Extra Life Team's fundraising page! We are participating in the RPG Marathon for Seattle Children's Hospital at Dragonflight GameCon on August 26th. It will be great fun to see who lasts to the end of our 12 hour RP session. There will be Facebook Lives, some streaming, prizes, fun team interviews and photos. Please consider putting forth your support to help our team exceed our goals.

Perks for Donations

We've got some cool game effects on offer for helping us hit our goal for the RPG Marathon this weekend!

$10: Name an NPC in one of our scores
$25: Name a recurring enemy or ally
$50: Name a job our crew of smugglers is hired to complete
$100: Name a plot twist or complication that will haunt the crew

Remember that this is charity for children, so keep it PG.

You'll need to pledge under the name you use on Facebook (and not anonymously) so I can message you about getting your reward wrapped into the game. Feel free to pledge for any of us on the team; so long as you list your name publicly so we can get back to you for details!

About Blades in the Dark

Blades in the Dark is a tabletop role-playing game about a crew of daring scoundrels seeking their fortunes on the haunted streets of a steam-punk, industrial-fantasy city. There are heists, chases, occult mysteries, dangerous bargains, bloody skirmishes, and, above all, riches to be had — if you’re bold enough to seize them.  It is kinda like Leverage, Peaky Blinders, Best Served Cold, Thief: The Dark Project and Dishonored, Crimson Peak, Gangs of New York in a flurry of fun.

You and your fledgling crew must thrive amidst the threats of rival gangs, powerful noble families, vengeful ghosts, the Blue-coats of the city watch, and the siren song of your scoundrel’s own vices. Will you rise to power in the criminal underworld? What are you willing to do to get to the top?

About the crew

The player characters form the core of a Crew, a gang of scoundrels trying to make some money on the haunted streets of Duskvol. Our crew are the Twin Shadows, a groupd of smugglers who have just unlocked the alchemical processes necessary to allow them to carry (imprison?) specters and ghosts in their own bodies with no negative side effects for short periods of time (causing them to have their eponymous double shadows). This allows them to move ghosts safely around the city to various buyers who have their own nefarious purposes for the souls of the dead.

How your donation helps:

Our team is on a mission to help sick and injured kids in our local community and we need your help. Each of us has chosen our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital that treats thousands of children each year, regardless of their illness, injury or even their family's ability to pay. These kids are facing scary stuff like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and injuries they may get from just being a kid.

To help raise funds and awareness for these sick and injured kids, we're participating in this huge worldwide movement called Extra Life. Gamers of all kinds pledge to play everything from video games to board games and tabletop RPG's for 24 hours! It's our sincere hope that you'll find it in your heart to support our efforts with a monthly pledge or one-time gift that will go directly to the hospital each of us has chosen to support.

Your donation is tax-deductible and will make miracles happen for families who desperately need them. To make a safe and easy online donation to a member of our team, click on the "Roster" tab and then on a participant's name.

We need your help to reach our goal For The Kids. Thank you so much for supporting our team's efforts!
