Hi! I'm Aradia (they/them) - gamer, witch, and general weirdo on the internet. I'm the Vice President of the Boston Guild (which means I help Extra Lifers just like you in my area get set up with an Extra Life page, fundraise, organize events, & hit their goals) and this is my 11th year fundraising for Boston Children's Hospital! 

I'm aiming to raise $1,095 this year, which may seem like an odd amount, but will put my total lifetime amount raised to a solid $5,000, and I think we can do it!

Why I Game

I'm a gamer, through and through. I play & stream video games on Twitch (see my stream above!, I roll dice and play pretend with my friends on a weekly basis, I have a respectable board game collection, and I used to LARP like it was my job (and for a while, it was. If I can take this hobby I'm already doing and make some good come of it, help some true innocents in the world - why wouldn't I? 

Kids deserve to have every single chance at the best life that we can give them, but sometimes they get the short end of the stick. As a parent myself, I can't imagine what it would be like to watch my child fight an invisible enemy and know I can't do anything about it. 

How It Works

When you make a donation to my page, 100% of the donation goes directly to Boston Children's Hospital into something called the Every Child Fund. This helps to support areas of the hospital that need it most, departments that don't typically get much funding but still have vital work to do. This could mean:

• supplying departments with medicine and equipment needed for patients
• helping families afford home care equipment
• providing quality of life upgrades and experiences to the kids who stay long term so they don't lose out on the fun of being a kid while they're cooped up in the hospital
• supporting other less-funded departments and programs

In the past, Extra Life money has aided in the programming and running of Seacrest Studios, and our gamers have made possible the hiring of a Child Life Specialist, a dedicated staff member that helps kids create positive memories of their time at Boston Children's Hospital, increasing morale and the ability to still be a kid.
