Dear Friends, Family, and Fellow Gamers,

Welcome to my Extra Life page!  I know there's a lot of words on this screen, but how else am I supposed to tell you about the amazingness of Extra Life?  Here's to 2023 as Extra Life's 15th anniversary!

What is Extra Life?

Extra Life is this huge worldwide celebration of the social impact of gamers of all kinds from video games to board games to tabletop RPG's and beyond! Since 2008, Extra Life has raised more than $111 million to help children's hospitals provide critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment, research, and charitable care. It's my sincere hope that you'll find it in your heart to support my efforts with a donation that will go directly to my hospital or you that you'll help me get the word out!.  I'm currently on my "own", but I'll create or join a team later this year to help raise money for my local Children's Miracle Network Hospital - the Lauren Small Children's Center at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital.  ALL PROCEEDS go to help kids, staying right here in my hometown.

The various Bakersfield teams over the years have raised more than $210,000 for our local kids and were able to set the center up with over 40 Xbox360s - one for every bed! Check out the Campus Gamers at CSUB website.

My Pledge

I will donate $1 to my page every Pay Day in January and July through December.  If I beat a game since my last pay day, I'll bump the donation up to $2! 

Shooting for a starting goal of $2,100!  

If you want to know a little bit about me, I've been a gamer for over 20 years.  I don't remember exactly when I started, but I certainly remember my venture into gaming taking off with the Nintendo 64 - Super Mario, Goldeneye, and Donkey Kong were staples in my house.  I spent many-a-hour on the Jak series and Kingdom Hearts on the PS2.  As an adult, I've come to love choose-your-own-adventure games, especially when my choices affect outcomes later on in the game.  Mass Effect is right up there at the top.  Latest game beaten = As Dusk Falls).  Currently playing = Mass Effect Andromeda (XBox), A Plague Tale: Requiem (XBox) & Hades (Switch).

• Donate an accumulative $50 in 2023 to get Cat Pics on Demand for the rest of the Year! When your donations add up to $50+ this year, I'll let you know. You can then request a picture of my cat(s) whenever you'd like in 2023! Max of 1 request per day. Pic will be of a random cat based on who is available and what they are doing.
  
  
• The persons to bump/get me to each $100 increment will get a lanyard, a charm, or pick a game for me to stream!  I have lots of games to pick from, but I still do have some lanyards and charms left. <3
