Dear Friends and Family,

My story is a little different than most supporting this cause. In October 2011, I lost my mother due to the actions of an angry, drunken man. It took quite some time for me to recover from that loss. Approaching the anniversary date of her passing in 2012, I searched for something to help distract myself during that rough weekend. I heard about Extra-Life through a gaming community I am a part of, Split Infinity Radio. I looked into it and decided I would join a cause to help people as a celebration of my mother’s life instead of thinking about her passing.

This is my 12th year being a part of this amazing charity.  Each year I have continued to raise my goal, encourage friends to join my quest, and host events each year. I am thrilled to be part of a great community to help kids and their families. 

Extra Life United 2023

I had the wonderful opportunity to attend Extra Life United in Florida this year. I was there to compete in three game tournaments as well as some additional competitions. Between donations that week and prize winnings, I raised $1,278.67 for WVU Medicine Children's Hospital. I had a great time meeting other Extra Lifers, doing interviews with Donor Drive and Extra Life, and (most importantly) meeting so many of the champion children. 

I've pledged to play games and raise funds for kids at my local children's hospital.
