On November 6th, I'll play video games for 24 hours to raise funds for kids at my local children's hospital.
how it works
Starting at noon PST on Saturday, Nov. 6th, I will dedicate an entire day to playing video games and get donations from awesome folks like YOU!
100% of the donations will go to San Diego's Rady Children's Hospital.
Now, more than ever, local Children's Miracle Network Hospitals need our help. You can learn how local children's hospitals are being impacted by COVID-19 at kidscantwait.org.
Your donation is tax-deductible and will make miracles happen for families who desperately need them. Simply click the "Donate" button at the top of this page to help.
What will I be playing?
This year the main game I'll be playing is Metroid Dread. Are the Space Pirates up to their usual shenanigans? Can we pet the metroids? Will bounty hunter Samus Aran actually hunt a bounty? Let's find out together!
Back by popular demand, you can once again submit a Super Mario Maker 2 level for me to play by donating $10! Or, donating $50 will allow you to submit an entire Super World!
Check out the Super Mario Maker 2 - I Play Your Levels section below for more details!
Help me stay awake and keep the blood flowing! If we raise $600, my sister and I will play Nintendo's exercise game, Fitness Boxing 2. We both promise to try very hard not to punch each other.
If we raise $1000, I'll take a break around midnight to play a more... adult game. Tee-hee!
Okay, okay. It's not adult; it's immature as hell.
If we raise $1200, we'll tour my sister's island in Animal Crossings: New Horizons. What's her island's name?
Yeah, now you want to go, don't you? Well, we'll publish her Dodo Code while we're playing so if you have the game, you can come visit!
Can't wait? Donate $25 or more and I'll send you Kumquatia's Dream Code so you can visit it early for a sneak peak!
For every $100 we raise, I will drink a new, unique beverage on stream. What will I be drinking? You help decide!
Make a donation of any amount and suggest something for me to drink in the "Add a message" section of the donation form as seen in the pic to the right.
Suggest anything you like: soft drink, coffee, tea, energy drink, protein shake, vegetable smoothie, whatever! Just keep the below in mind:
- Nothing alcoholic
- Must be available in single serving sizes
- Must be something I can find in San Diego
And that's it! Make a donation, suggest a drink for me to try and we'll see how many bathroom breaks I have to take throughout the marathon!
Super Mario Maker 2 – I Play YOUR Levels!
Make a donation of $10 and I will play a Super Mario Maker 2 level of your choosing. It could be one you created or one from the community.
Simply click on the $10 donation incentive at the top right of this page, type your Course ID in the provided text box and I’ll play your level to completion or spend at least 20 minutes trying!
Did you create an entire Super World full of courses? Click the $50 Super Mario Maker 2 donation incentive at the top right of this page, type in your Course ID (or Maker ID) and I'll spend an hour playing through as much of it as I can!
NOTE: If you want to submit multiple levels, you don't have to make separate donations for each one. For example, if you have three levels, you're more than welcome to make one $30 donation. Just make sure you include the Course IDs in the donation form's comment box by clicking on "add a message"!
The more money we raise for Rady Children’s, the more fun stuff will happen!
$500 - I'll go an extra hour. That's 25 straight hours of charity goodness!
$600 - My sister and I will play Fitness Boxing 2 and try not to punch each other in the face!
$800- Live reading of "Ellipsis of Love," a steamy, adult story based on Trails In the Sky!
$1000 - I'll play a naughty video game for at least an hour. Make sure the kids are in bed!
$1200 - We'll tour my sister's island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Visitors welcome!
$1400 - Can I play video games while balancing on an Indo Board? Let's find out!
$1600 - I'll attempt to play video games while wearing snow gloves!
$1800 - Chubby Bunny! Yep, my sister and I will play that disgustingly hilarious party game!
$2000 - I have a weight bench. Let's see how much my sister can lift!
The more you donate, the more fun things I'll do for you!
$Any - Every $100 we raise, I'll drink something interesting. Donate any amount and suggest a drink for me to try!
$10 - I will play a Super Mario Maker 2 level of your choosing. Make sure you leave the Course ID in the donation form's message box!
$25 - I will thank you by name every hour during the marathon!
$25 - I will send you the Dream Code for my sister's Animal Crossing: New Horizons island, Kumquatia. If you have the game, feel free to visit it to your heart's content!
$50 - I will spend an hour playing through as much of your Super Mario Maker 2 Super World as I can!
$50 - Automatic entry in a raffle to win an original digital fanart of a character of your choice! Additional $25 donations each earn you another entry! Once you've donated $100, additional entries can be had for $10 each!
Say, would you like a custom digital illustration of your favorite fantasy, video game, or cartoon character?
Once your donations add up to $50, you will automatically be entered in a raffle (unless you request otherwise) to win a custom digital illustration of a character of your choice from freelance illustrator Lynndy Lee!
Want to improve your odds of winning? An additional $25 donation will earn you an additional raffle ticket (ex. Donating $100 will net you 3 raffle tickets).
You want more?
Once you've donated $100, additional entries can be had for only $10 each! (ex. Donating $110 will net you 4 raffle tickets). The winner will be drawn at the end of the marathon.
Last year's winner requested Breath of the Wild's Link in his sexy desert duds. You can see that amazing illustration to the left.
Good luck and super special thanks to Lynndy Lee for donating her time and talent!
Last year, thanks to the pandemic, I did the entire marathon solo. But, now that we have vaccines, the special guests have returned!
My sister, Keleigh, will be here for the back half of the marathon. I expect her to get here sometime Saturday night. Her job is to keep me awake, manage the chat, and add some much needed class to the proceedings.
Also, SuperMetalDave64 will be dropping by for a bit at some point during the marathon, likely Saturday evening. We always enjoy his company and are very glad to have him back!
If you have any questions, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @AndrewEisen.
Not only does Rady Children's Hospital have 90 volunteer dogs that make bedside visits, but each dog has its own trading card the kids can collect! How cool is that?
Learn about the Canine Care program and more in my chat with Carly Rickard, Associate Director of Philanthropy at the Rady Children's Foundation. (This interview was recorded in 2018.)
Hope to see you on Game Day for some Mario and Metroid fun!
