Year number 10 participating in Extra Life, year number 8 as a registered participate has started! Welcome to my personal Extra Life fundraising page!
This journey started out in our living room of our house 10 years ago with a group of my boyfriends friends from high school and over the years it has grown and evolved into so much more. 2020 brought on some new challenges and new ways to fundraise though. I learned how to stream, still learning, but I'm sharing my passion for Extra Life everywhere I can to help support the amazing WVU Medicine Children's Hospital in Morgantown, WV. I'm thankful for my friends and family that have been on this journey with me!
Why I Extra Life?
Well that is also ever evolving. This journey was originally used to celebrate the life of my boyfriend, Brian's mom who was killed the year prior. She always supported Brian and his love of video games so we thought it would be fitting to do that to remember her by. Over the years, I have seen the impact our fundraising has had on the hospital and in our community of gamers. We have shared our love with those close to us who are now having kids of their own or knows the impact of child life departments at hospitals. Every $1 helps and truly adds up.
Lets see what 2021 has in store for us as we continue on this crazy ride we call life! Remember to play games, heal kids! My favorite quote when growing up that was on the entrance to Winchester, VA's Jim Barnett Park:
So don't stop playing! Continue being a kid at heart!
I've pledged to play games and raise funds for kids at my local children's hospital.
Here's how it works
Extra Life is a gaming and DIY fundraising platform supporting Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
I'm joining thousands of gamers, dedicating a day to play games and raise funds from friends like you.
100% of the donations go to my local children's hospital.
Your donation is tax-deductible and will make miracles happen for families who desperately need them. Simply click the "Donate" button at the top of this page to help.
