Team Captain Splunkers Extra Life 2020

Hey folks! I'm St. John (pronounced SinJin). For the past 20 years or so, I've been spending quality time with my friends playing games at LAN parties!  ^ Me with the red spray-painted monitor in 2003

Whether they were 24 hours long or just till midnight, I loved hanging out with friends, gaming, and drinking some quality Mountain Dew (hence the gamer tag CaffeineJunkie).

Even after I graduated, got a job, got married, had kids, I still love to game.  So to this day, I continue to help organize and fund LAN parties at my office with my friends and co-workers.

At Splunk (where I work), we're about to kick off our 10th semi-monthly LAN party.  We typically have 25-30 folks show up to play the game of the month, participate in brutal Smash tournaments, or just hang out and eat delicious NY-style pizza.

Gaming and LAN parties are such an important part of my life and have helped me grow into the person I am today.  So this year I want to do something special.  For my Extra Life marathon, I'm going to continue to host the Splunk LAN parties throughout the year and...

For every employee that shows up in-person or online, I will personally donate $20 to the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital through Extra Life.

How can you help?
