Great, how do I get started?
You'll need a device to stream with (desktop/laptop, Xbox One, or PlayStation 4)!
Download or login to a streaming app to your desktop (like Streamlabs, OBS, Lightstream or XSplit). Have a console? Your Xbox One or PlayStation 4 will have apps to stream directly from console (Twitch, Mixer or YouTube)!
Set up an account with a streaming service (Twitch, YouTube, Mixer).
You'll need something to broadcast your gaming! PC or console:
Set your Chatbot to share your donation link when your streaming.
**Pro-tip** add #donate to the end of your participant URL (non-customized) to bring donors right to the payment screen!
Xbox extras to customize your stream
Explore options to customize your stream using Lightstream and Mixer!
Once you have your device, streaming software/service and accounts setup, add your streaming username to your fundraising page by clicking Your Page, then clicking the pencil icon to edit. This allows you to stream to Twitch, Mixer and YouTube and have the stream directly embedded on your Extra Life page! Your donors can interact and chat with you AND donate with ease!
Here's the steps to connect your stream to your page
On extra-life.org. add your streaming username to your fundraising page & save – you're ready to go!
Click Your Page in the top bar
Click the Settings tab on your page
Choose your service and enter your username
Note: YouTube requires you to enter the full URL to the live video, not your YouTube username
Click Save Changes
Share the link to your fundraising page through social media, text messages, your chatbot and email.
When you start streaming from your streaming software (Streamlabs OBS, OBS, Lightstream, XSplit) or console, your stream will appear on your fundraising page!

2019 was an amazing year for Extra Life for WVU Medicine Children's. Let's step up our game and get going for 2020. This year I decided to create my own team. WV Gamer Pride. I'd LOVE for your to join me to help make a difference for the kids, teens, and families going through treatments at WVU Medicine Children's.
Children's Dream Racer
My goal for 2020 is to raise $10,000 for a Children's Dream Racer car for WVU Medicine Children's.
A Dream Racer is a child-sized version of a real NASCAR race car. They are built by retired NASCAR car builder Mark “Smitty” Smith with the same materials used to make real NASCAR race cars. Dream Racers include a flat panel TV, CD/DVD player, PlayStation video game console, IV stand, oxygen bottle holder, easy roll coasters with brake, and a storage trunk. All of which allow a child to have a bit of a fun escape while receiving treatment.
Extra Life is a fundraising and gaming marathon to support Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
I'm joining thousands of gamers and will be dedicating a day to play games and get donations from friends like YOU!
100% of the donations go to my local children's hospital. TOGETHER we will make a difference for sick kids!
Your donation is tax-deductible and will make miracles happen for families who desperately need them. You can click the "Donate" button at the top of this page to make a safe and easy online donation.
what if i can't donate?
No fear! You can help me and my Extra Life campaign in a couple ways without spending anything:
Bee The Swarm - a crowdfunding platform that uses revenue from free mobile video games to fund good causes from around the world! Simply sign up (by clicking the Bee The Swarm) and then download the 5 free mobile games. As you play the games, you will earn bees that you can use to "swarm" my campaign. Spoiler: There will be ads you will encounter, but if you click them it will be worth the few seconds!
You can also help just my sharing my page with your friends. Spread the word and we can help get those donations for the kids at WVU Medicine Children's.
I'm so excited to be playing games For The Kids! 100% of your donations stay local. Theygo right to the kids at WVU Medicine Children's Hospital. As usual, I'll be posting updates via twitter and IG when I'm not streaming.
