Great, how do I get started?
You'll need a device to stream with (desktop/laptop, Xbox One, or PlayStation 4)!
Download or login to a streaming app to your desktop (like Streamlabs, OBS, Lightstream or XSplit). Have a console? Your Xbox One or PlayStation 4 will have apps to stream directly from console (Twitch, Mixer or YouTube)!
Set up an account with a streaming service (Twitch, YouTube, Mixer).
You'll need something to broadcast your gaming! PC or console:
Set your Chatbot to share your donation link when your streaming.
**Pro-tip** add #donate to the end of your participant URL (non-customized) to bring donors right to the payment screen!
Xbox extras to customize your stream
Explore options to customize your stream using Lightstream and Mixer!
Once you have your device, streaming software/service and accounts setup, add your streaming username to your fundraising page by clicking Your Page, then clicking the pencil icon to edit. This allows you to stream to Twitch, Mixer and YouTube and have the stream directly embedded on your Extra Life page! Your donors can interact and chat with you AND donate with ease!

On extra-life.org. add your streaming username to your fundraising page & save – you're ready to go!
Click Your Page in the top bar
Click the Settings tab on your page

2019 has been a hell of a year for everyone, it seems. From illness and tragedy to whatever the current administration of... every country? is doing, this year has been rough. For children battling serious illness and their families, though, it isn't just the year that is hard. Every day, and sometimes every hour, can bring new horrors that even Team Silent couldn't dream up. That's why every Halloween, we team up to help them fight with a charitable livestream.
This year Rely on Horror will once again take to Twitch to raise money for Extra Life, a charity benefiting Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. We’re keeping it short and sweet with a single day of Silent Hill and Resident Evil. Join RoH staffers Rourke, Whitney, and Destiny as we take on early titles in two of the best-known series in horror gaming. Chat with us on Twitch, ask questions about your favorite writers and games, and help us reach our goal of $1,000 for ExtraLife 2019.
SUNDAY – November 10 @ 7AM EDT
Resident Evil 2
Silent Hill 2
Silent Hill 3
The charity livestream begins on November 10rd at 7 AM EDT and will end around 11pm EDT. The event will be livestreamed through its entirety on the Rely on Horror Twitch.tv channel. Subscribe and set a reminder today to make sure you don’t miss out!
How to Donate:
Please visit extralife.relyonhorror.com beginning tonight to donate to the Retro Horror Charity Livestream, benefiting Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center. You may donate ahead of the stream to give us a head start or while we’re live so we can say thank you! Our fundraising goal is $1000.00, and every dollar up to that goal will be matched at the end of the stream, doubling the healing power of each donation. Green herbs for everyone!
