Live fundraising is a great way to tell your story and engage with donors.
Great, how do I get started?
You'll need a device to stream with (desktop/laptop, Xbox One, or PlayStation 4)!
Download or login to a streaming app to your desktop (like Streamlabs, OBS, Lightstream or XSplit). Have a console? Your Xbox One or PlayStation 4 will have apps to stream directly from console (Twitch, Mixer or YouTube)!
Set up an account with a streaming service (Twitch, YouTube, Mixer).
You'll need something to broadcast your gaming! PC or console:
Set your Chatbot to share your donation link when your streaming.
**Pro-tip** add #donate to the end of your participant URL (non-customized) to bring donors right to the payment screen!
Xbox extras to customize your stream
Explore options to customize your stream using Lightstream and Mixer!
Once you have your device, streaming software/service and accounts setup, add your streaming username to your fundraising page by clicking Your Page, then clicking the pencil icon to edit. This allows you to stream to Twitch, Mixer and YouTube and have the stream directly embedded on your Extra Life page! Your donors can interact and chat with you AND donate with ease!
Here's the steps to connect your stream to your page
On extra-life.org. add your streaming username to your fundraising page & save – you're ready to go!
Click Your Page in the top bar
Click the Settings tab on your page
Choose your service and enter your username
Note: YouTube requires you to enter the full URL to the live video, not your YouTube username
Click Save Changes
Share the link to your fundraising page through social media, text messages, your chatbot and email.

Dungeons & Donations is back! And this year we're taking on the classic adventure module, Ravenloft. Check out full details at www.dndonations.org.
How it works
From 6pm, December 6th to 6pm, December 7th, we'll be running a 24-hour live Twitch stream of heroes trekking through the classic adventure module Ravenloft. Players can come to The Wyvern's Tale at any time during those hours to get in on the game. $5 gets you on the list, and as soon as someone dies you get moved up to the table.
Viewers will have the option of making donations as well, and a donation of $5 allows them to alter something in the game. A donation made For the Kids will get a draw from the Boon Deck. A donation made For the Foe will get a draw from the Bane Deck. Alternatively, viewers can pay more to choose a specific result based on how high the result is.
If a player's character dies they (or a benevolent viewer) can pay $5 to have their character instantly raised from the dead. After the first raise, this cost doubles each time (e.g., the second raise is $10, the third is $20, and so on). If they wish to play again with a different character, they may once again pay $5 to join the bottom of the queue.
Dungeon Masters will rotate throughout the 24 hours, and each will be keen to prove how many adventurers they can fell within the perilous Castle Ravenloft!
