Great, how do I get started?
You'll need a device to stream with (desktop/laptop, Xbox One, or PlayStation 4)!
Download or login to a streaming app to your desktop (like Streamlabs, OBS, Lightstream or XSplit). Have a console? Your Xbox One or PlayStation 4 will have apps to stream directly from console (Twitch, Mixer or YouTube)!
Set up an account with a streaming service (Twitch, YouTube, Mixer).
You'll need something to broadcast your gaming! PC or console:
Set your Chatbot to share your donation link when your streaming.
**Pro-tip** add #donate to the end of your participant URL (non-customized) to bring donors right to the payment screen!
Xbox extras to customize your stream
Explore options to customize your stream using Lightstream and Mixer!
Once you have your device, streaming software/service and accounts setup, add your streaming username to your fundraising page by clicking Your Page, then clicking the pencil icon to edit. This allows you to stream to Twitch, Mixer and YouTube and have the stream directly embedded on your Extra Life page! Your donors can interact and chat with you AND donate with ease!
Here's the steps to connect your stream to your page
On extra-life.org. add your streaming username to your fundraising page & save – you're ready to go!
Click Your Page in the top bar
Click the Settings tab on your page
Choose your service and enter your username
Note: YouTube requires you to enter the full URL to the live video, not your YouTube username
Click Save Changes
Share the link to your fundraising page through social media, text messages, your chatbot and email.
When you start streaming from your streaming software (Streamlabs OBS, OBS, Lightstream, XSplit) or console, your stream will appear on your fundraising page!

This is the third year that I'm participating in Extra Life to raise money for the kids. I'm simply putting the generosity of donators in touch with the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. All my thanks go the real heros: the people donating their time to kids and their money to this noble cause.
Why extra life?
My eldest daughter benefited twice from their amazing services, having to stay twice at the Seattle Children's Hospital.
My company (ArenaNet) is contributing to the fundraising efforts for the third year now.
The benefits of this campaign are real and you can see many videos of how it affects people directly.
Here's how it works
Extra Life is a gaming and DIY fundraising platform supporting Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
I'm part of the ArenaNet super team and I'm joining thousands of gamers, dedicating a day to play games and raise funds from friends like you.
100% of the donations go to my local children's hospital (Seattle Children's Hospital).
Watch the ArenaNet stream on Game Day, November 1st (noon Pacific Time) to 2nd.

Friday November 1st: update
Adding miletones: at $3,000 I'll shave my hair (it's really cold here!); at $4,000, I'll color it when it grows back (color choice TBD); at $5,000 I'll run a 5k race within the next year!
Adding incentives: every $10 given (individual or in total), I'll commit to make one meaningful edit to the GW2 wiki; every $100 given (individual or in total), I'll reveal a cool, small behind-the-scene asset during my part of the ArenaNet livestream
