Howdy! I'm one of your friendly neighborhood Content Managers for the D&D Adventurers League and desperately want to help you level up your game while fighting for sick kids. Take up your dice, your sword, and let’s do this!

Here's how it works

  • Extra Life is a 24-hour fundraising and gaming marathon to support Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
  • I am joining thousands of gamers and dedicating this year to playing games and getting donations from friends like YOU!
  • 100% of the donations go to my local hospital: Seattle Children's Hospital. TOGETHER we will make a difference for sick kids!
  • Your donation is tax-deductible and will make miracles happen for families who desperately need them. Simply click the "Donate" button at the top of this page to help. Please consult with a tax professional before donating if you’re unsure of how your donation will affect your tax return.
  • When you summit your donation, you MUST send me a comment that gives your name, a contact email, and which rewards you are requesting in exchange for your donation (if any). If you list yourself as anonymous, I DO NOT know who you are and I cannot contact you. If you're seeking a reward for your donation, you MUST provide your contact email address when you donate.
  • All of the standard awards I’m offering are complete, and should be fulfilled within a day or two. Custom rewards take a little longer, but you should have certificates for those rewards in hand before the end of the year.

Adventurers League Curios and Wonders

The magic of the D&D Adventurers League is deep and strange, but sometimes it can be bent toward the greatest of goods. For your donation to help sick kids, I will plumb its darkest depths to find one of these twisted curios that you may add to one of your D&D Adventurers League Forgotten Realms characters. All rewards come as an Adventurer’s League legal certificate for the Forgotten Realms campaign that bares your name and is emailed to you.

$5 Donation – One of Travis Woodall’s Joints

I’ll send you one of the following adventures. You must provide the email address associated with your Dungeon Master’s Guild account and the name of the desired adventure with your donation. (One per Person)

  • DDAL00-07 The Embers of Hate
  • DDAL00-08 Layers Upon Layers
  • CCC-3MAGS-ONE Vormestrand’s Scroll

$5 Donation – Pipyap’s Ravenous Hunger

The imp, Pipyap, seeks followers from all walks of life, and rewards them handsomely. Upon using this one-time use charm, your teeth sharpen and elongate for 1 minute. During this time, you can use your teeth to make unarmed strikes, dealing piercing damage equal to 1d6 plus your Strength modifier if you hit with it. Once, if the attack hits, you gain temporary hit points (minimum 1) equal to your Constitution modifier. (One per Person)

$5 Donation – Wadumu’s Surprise

Wadumu teaches you a technique that you can use once that gives you advantage on a single attack roll. If the attack hits, it deals an extra 1d6 poison damage. (One per Person)

$15 Donation – All of My Joints

I’ll send you all of my joints. You must provide the email address associated with your Dungeon Master’s Guild account and the name of the desired adventure with your donation. (One per Person)

  • DDAL00-07 The Embers of Hate
  • DDAL00-08 Layers Upon Layers
  • CCC-3MAGS-ONE Vormestrand’s Scroll

$25 Donation – A Jar of Soup

Talk about limited supply! The only guy who knew how to make the Laughing Goblin’s world-famous* cabbage soup got himself perished. However, a recent stock of his delicious concoction has been found. As an action, you can consume the entirety of the jar of this delicious treat and immediately gain the benefit of a short rest. Mmmmm, salty! (One per Person)

$25 Donation – Pet Barding

Have a familiar, mount, animal companion, or vanity pet that you’ve grown attached to? Or did you at one point have a familiar, mount, animal companion, or vanity pet that died because you were too cheap to buy it barding? Then does Crannak Smolderburn have a deal for you! For a low price, Crannak will send you a suit of leather or scale barding for your familiar, mount, animal companion, or pet! (No Limit)

$25 Donation – Random Almiraj!

My daughter absolutely adores the almiraj, now you have to too! This pledge nets you one random almiraj that will serve as your familiar or as a plucky companion. While friendship isn’t guaranteed, companionship is. No refunds. (No Limit)

$25 Donation – Official Resident of Cascadia

This sleepy little town east of Elmwood is on the rise. Once home to the legendary brewer Vormestrand (we’re still looking for him), visitors and traders come from near and far to this beer destination. Now you have the opportunity to own a small plot of land there! Do you have a small hop farm? A field of wheat? A dark, dank cellar that you grow yeast in? Or do you just want a place to go and drink? You decide! This residence includes a lifetime membership to the Official Oaken Doors Mug Club. (No Limit)

$50 Donation – Cassyt’s Trinkets!

Having just returned from Sigil, Cassyt has brought a big chest of trinkets and very odd oddities home to Faerûn, and sends a random one to you. Warning, these magical items and tomes have “quirks” worthy of the City of Doors and are generally equivalent to a common magic item. You must provide the character’s name prior to fulfillment. (No Limit; One per Person)

$50 Donation - Soul Coin

It’s a soul coin: an evil soul minted into a coin and used as currency in the Nine Hells. You can feel the evil seeping from it even now. This item will have "special" uses in season 9 Adventures, especially if you are willing to deal with devils or other interested parties… Note: This is a certificate for your character, not a real coin. You must provide the character’s name prior to fulfillment. (No Limit; One per Person)

$200 Donation – Yip, Yap!

Anyone who’s anyone knows that kobolds are superior to cats. As such, you, being a person of refined taste, can create a kobold character. Your race does not count against your PHB+1. You must provide the character’s name prior to fulfillment. (Limit 9, 2 out of 9 available)

$200 Donation – Blood of Avernus

Borne of fire and brimstone. Most tieflings have the blood of Asmodeus coursing through their veins. You, however, have the blood of other archdevils in yours. You may create a new tiefling character with one of the tiefling subraces from Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes. This choice does not count against your PHB+1. You must provide the character’s name prior to fulfillment. (Limit 9, 8 out of 9 available)

$200 Donation - Knight of Apathy

You are one of the chosen few. You gain the ability to make an Oath of Apathy Paladin. That’s really all that needs to be said. I just don’t feel like writing more. Swear your fealty. Or don’t. Your call; I don’t care. This archtype does not count against your PHB+1. You must provide the character’s name prior to fulfillment. (Limit 9, 3 out of 9 available)

$200 Donation – War Mage

Through training, discipline, and a lot of being yelled at, you’ve tempered your arcane training with military discipline. You gain the ability to make a wizard with the War Mage archetype. This archtype does not count against your PHB+1. You must provide the character’s name prior to fulfillment. (Limit 9, 8 out of 9 available)

$200 Donation – Drunken Monk

There’s magic in beer. Honestly. While other monastic traditions require patience, discipline, and decades of training, the Way of the Drunken Master requires only a hearty liver and a loose attachment to one’s wallet. You gain the ability to make a monk with the Way of the Drunken Master archetype. This archtype does not count against your PHB+1. You must provide the character’s name prior to fulfillment. (Limit 9, 8 out of 9 available)

$250 Donation – My Very Own Warlock Patron!

Now's your chance to give me something in exchange for a modicum of power! Over the next month or so, I'll be writing up a unique warlock Patron available only through this year's Extra Life campaign. Expect beer, snark, and procrastination!  This archetype is anticipated to be fulfilled by the end of November 2019 and won't count against your PHB+1. You must provide the character’s name prior to fulfillment. (Limit 9, 7 out of 9 available)

$250 Donation – All of the Random Almiraj!

How many more almiraj could you have? None. Literally none. Hope you’ve got the time to take care of them! (No Limit)

$400 Donation – Tick Tock

What in tarnation? You may have seen one on the streets of Waterdeep, but now people will stare at you in the same amount of wonder and amazement! Your creator has shuffled loose the mortal coil and now there’s adventuring to be done! You may create a new nimblewright character from Mirt’s Undermountain Survival Guide. This choice does not count against your PHB+1. You must provide the character’s name prior to fulfillment. (Limit 9, 2 out of 9 available)

$750 Donation – Pipyap’s Teaches You Something Cool

Pipyap teaches you an epic boon (even though you don’t need to be a tier 4 character to learn it). I’ll work with you to create a custom epic boon that you can apply to a character of your choice. You must provide the character’s name prior to fulfillment. (Limit 7, 2 out of 7 available)

$1,000 Donation – Ar’soon’s Got Your Back

Stabbing Master Ar’soon is a smart guy. Way smarter than you. And through his expert tutelage, he will teach you a new feat that only you’ll know how. I’ll work with you to create a custom feat that you can apply to a character of your choice. You must provide the character’s name prior to fulfillment. (Limit 7, 5 out of 7 available)

$2,000 Donation – The Forbidden Adventure

Back in 2016, I wrote an adventure so scandalous, so risqué that I am LEGALLY PRECLUDED from posting it to the Dungeon Master’s Guild. Ok, ok, it was neither scandalous or risqué; it just takes place in a certain extraplanar city that hasn’t seen an official release, so there are copyright entanglements. That said, I will run an online (or in person if you live within an hour or two of Olympia, WA) session of DDAO-05 Spaces in Between (tier 2) for you and up to five of your friends. Each player must have a basic version of Fantasy Grounds available. These games will be schedule during Q1 or Q2 of 2020. (Limit 3, 3 out of 3 available)

$4,000 Donation – Lunch and a Game

Anyone who knows me knows that in addition to D&D, I love beer and my Instant Pots. At this level, I'll come to your house, cook lunch for you and five of your friends along with a curated selection of tasty beers. Over lunch, I'll run your choice of my Author Only adventures. This reward is only available to those that reside within a 2 hour drive of Olympia, WA (Portland, OR to Everett, WA and all points in between) in order to claim this reward. These games will be schedule during Q2 or Q3 of 2020. (Limit 1, 1 out of 1 available)

Stretch Goals

As we raise more and more for the kids, I will unlock additional rewards.

$7,500 - UNLOCKED

Every donor gets entered into drawing. I will randomly draw one name for each certificate reward in the campaign and the randomly chosen lucky donor wins a copy of that cert for free! This drawing will occur on Wednesday, 1 January 2020. Boom, let's get the next one!

$10,000 - UNLOCKED

I add two more copies of each limited certificate. This means if you missed out on something, you get another shot at that limited certificate.

$12,500 - UNLOCKED

You want real power and willing to barter for it? That's great and all, but I just need you to help the kids. When this stretch goal is unlocked, I will reveal a new certificate that allows you to play a brand-new warlock pact with myself as your patron.

$15,000 - LOCKED

I add two more copies of each limited certificate. This means if you missed out on something, you get another shot at that limited certificate.

$17,500 - LOCKED

I will expand on my 1st stretch goal and add another copy of each cert to the random drawing that every donor will be entered into.

$20,000 - LOCKED

It's a mystery!
