Great, how do I get started?
You'll need a device to stream with (desktop/laptop, Xbox One, or PlayStation 4)!
Download or login to a streaming app to your desktop (like Streamlabs, OBS, Lightstream or XSplit). Have a console? Your Xbox One or PlayStation 4 will have apps to stream directly from console (Twitch, Mixer or YouTube)!
Set up an account with a streaming service (Twitch, YouTube, Mixer).
You'll need something to broadcast your gaming! PC or console:
Set your Chatbot to share your donation link when your streaming.
**Pro-tip** add #donate to the end of your participant URL (non-customized) to bring donors right to the payment screen!
Xbox extras to customize your stream
Explore options to customize your stream using Lightstream and Mixer!
Once you have your device, streaming software/service and accounts setup, add your streaming username to your fundraising page by clicking Your Page, then clicking the pencil icon to edit. This allows you to stream to Twitch, Mixer and YouTube and have the stream directly embedded on your Extra Life page! Your donors can interact and chat with you AND donate with ease!
Here's the steps to connect your stream to your page
On extra-life.org. add your streaming username to your fundraising page & save – you're ready to go!
Click Your Page in the top bar
Click the Settings tab on your page
Choose your service and enter your username
Note: YouTube requires you to enter the full URL to the live video, not your YouTube username
Click Save Changes
Share the link to your fundraising page through social media, text messages, your chatbot and email.
When you start streaming from your streaming software (Streamlabs OBS, OBS, Lightstream, XSplit) or console, your stream will appear on your fundraising page!

I've pledged to play games and raise funds for sick kids at Riley Children's Hospital in Downtown Indianapolis on 11/2 and 11/3, 8:00am - 8:00pm MT!
I'm proud to be a remote employee of Andromeda LLC, an Indianapolis-based startup that's looking to improve the world through innovative app development. Even though I'm currently based in Colorado, Indy has become a second hometown for me, so when our company very excitedly stood up and announced they'd be joining up For The Kids this year with the Andromeda Initiative team, I felt inspired to give back to the community there. That's why this year, I'm playing to benefit Riley Children's Hospital in Downtown Indianapolis.
Here's how it works
Extra Life is a fundraising and gaming marathon to support Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
I'm joining thousands of gamers -- including my coworkers at Andromeda LLC -- and will be dedicating a day to play games and get donations from kind folks like YOU!
100% of the donations go to Riley Children's Hospital. Together, we will make a difference for sick kids!
Your donation is tax-deductible and will make miracles happen for families who desperately need them -- additionally, many employers will match your donation, meaning you can do twice as much good in one go! You can click the "Donate" button at the top of this page to make a secure and easy online donation.
Help sick kids AND acquire some ultra-rare swag from Blizzard, EA, Bullfrog Productions, and more classic game studios by participating in our charity blind auction at https://www.extra-life.andromedaindy.com/ Bids will be accepted through 10/31 11:59 PM ET and winners' payment is handled directly through this Extra Life page, so you can be sure every cent is reaching its intended destination -- neither Andromeda nor myself receive anything from the auction, other than a sense of Doing Good.
You get two nerds for the price of one -- Ben Deane will be joining me live on stream for 12 hours each day to game and provide developer commentary on some classic Bullfrog games, including but not limited to Theme Hospital, Dungeon Keeper, and Syndicate Wars. Come listen to us banter and watch our Guinea Pig Cam while we dig through our extensive game libraries to bring you the best in classic and casual variety streaming!
(A note about our guinea pigs by the way: we have tracked temperatures in our basement studio for weeks, including during snow days, to make sure that it stays within safe ranges for the piggies. We will also be swapping them out every so often to make sure that they aren't too stressed out by being in their playpen enclosure for long periods of time. Gemmie & Iota will appear together, but Min will appear solo because she does not get along with the other girls and is happier being an Only Pig.)
