Great, how do I get started?
You'll need a device to stream with (desktop/laptop, Xbox One, or PlayStation 4)!
Download or login to a streaming app to your desktop (like Streamlabs, OBS, Lightstream or XSplit). Have a console? Your Xbox One or PlayStation 4 will have apps to stream directly from console (Twitch, Mixer or YouTube)!
Set up an account with a streaming service (Twitch, YouTube, Mixer).
You'll need something to broadcast your gaming! PC or console:
Set your Chatbot to share your donation link when your streaming.
**Pro-tip** add #donate to the end of your participant URL (non-customized) to bring donors right to the payment screen!
Xbox extras to customize your stream
Explore options to customize your stream using Lightstream and Mixer!
Once you have your device, streaming software/service and accounts setup, add your streaming username to your fundraising page by clicking Your Page, then clicking the pencil icon to edit. I've pledged to play games and raise funds for kids at my local children's hospital.
Want to join me in supporting a good cause? I'm raising money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support. I've included information about Children's Miracle Network Hospitals below.
The impact of donations in 2018 is immense. Here's a snapshot of some of the many ways you are are making a difference. This past year Extra Life donations to Children's Hospital at Providence funded:
Our amazing child life team. These six staff members work in all areas of the hospital which serve children and are there to support their emotional well-being. They help make the hospital a more fun place through things like play therapy, journaling, and arts and crafts.
Scholarships for Parenting with Providence classes. Community donations mean families who cannot afford tuition still have access to parent education classes, which build strong families through the education and support of parents.
Car Seats for underprivileged families. Every child deserves to be safe and because of you we are able to supply needy families with car seats.
Hospital equipment. The much needed Giraffe Warmer purchased this year provides a nurturing, life-sustaining environment for young infants.
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® raises funds and awareness for 170 member hospitals that provide 32 million treatments each year to kids across North America. Much like my niece, who was born at Providence and stayed in their Neonatal ICU for 76 days.
Here's how it works
Extra Life is a fundraising and gaming marathon supporting Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
I'm joining thousands of gamers, dedicating a day to play games and raise funds from friends like you.
100% of the donations go to my local children's hospital.
Your donation is tax-deductible and will make miracles happen for families who desperately need them. Simply click the "Donate" button at the top of this page to help.
