Extra Life 2017

DONATE

Hi everyone!

While the world is busy with the big triple-A games of the hour, I continue my life's work of yammering on about Japanese games (and retro games, and especially Japanese retro games) until someone pays me money in an attempt to keep me quiet. I made $330 last year, so let's see if I can beat that this time around!

After playing Final Fantasy XIV for 24 hours in 2016 to celebrate Heavensward's first major content patch, I'm going to mix things up a bit this year with a variety of different Japanese games on a number of different platforms -- primarily Sony devices and PC, given my interests. Check back on this page nearer the time for a schedule of what to see when, and visit my site MoeGamer.net (particularly its All Games page) for a sneak peek of the sort of thing you can expect to see during the stream.

I'll be streaming on Twitch between 8am UK time on Saturday November 4, 2017 and 8am on Sunday November 5; there may be brief gaps for food, drinks and whatnot, but otherwise I'm aiming for a full 24 hours online. Join me!

ABOUT EXTRA LIFE

Children's Miracle Network Hospitals treat thousands of children each year, regardless of their family's ability to pay. These kids are facing scary stuff like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and injuries from accidents to name just a few.

Extra Life is a huge worldwide celebration of the social impact of gamers of all kinds: from video games to board games and tabletop RPGs! Since 2010, Extra Life has raised more than $30 million to help children's hospitals provide critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment, research and charitible care. It's my sincere hope that you'll find it in your heart to support my efforts with a monthly pledge or one-time gift that will go directly to my hospital.

Your donation is tax-deductible and ALL PROCEEDS go to help kids. Donations to me will be aimed at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital in Oakland, California, since I don't live in the U.S. but my brother John does, and that was the closest hospital to his home!

I need your help to reach my goal For The Kids.  Please make a safe, easy donation online today.  Click the "Support This Participant" button on this page to get started.  Thank you so much for supporting my efforts!
