Dear Friends and Family,

Welcome to Hailey and Kev's Extra Life Fundraiser for 2017! We are excited this year, for our 6th year, to once again be raising money in support of the Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas.

2016 was an amazing, record-breaking year for Dell Children's and the Extra Life Austin Guild. And it's all thanks to YOUR generous donations!

In 2016 Kev and I raised over $200 playing a Halloween marathon of games inspired by H.P. Lovecraft (Eternal Darkness, Bloodborne and Call of Cthulu). In 2017 we hope to exceed that goal with some Disney-themed games and giveaways. This year on October 28th and November 4th we are excited to play a marathon of the PS4 Kingdom Hearts collections. We're planning to play the games in chronological order, not release order, in order to try (and fail) to make sense of the absolute mess that is the Kingdom Hearts storyline! (Wish us luck)

We made a schedule this time, because even the most optimistic person knows we're not going to finish all of these games in one marathon!

October 28th

  • Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Final Mix
  • Kingdom Hearts Final Mix
  • Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories
  • Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (Movie)

November 4th

  • Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix
  • Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded (Movie)
  • Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD

Yeah, Kingdom Hearts titles get pretty buck wild. Confused yet? I know I am!

In 2017 we are celebrating 10 years of Dell Children's! It is in part thanks to your donations that this medical center has become such a special place for children in need. Dell Children's allows the family of their patients to remain both close to home and close to their child while receiving the specialized treatment they need to survive. The hospital is constructed to allow lots of natural light into patient rooms and hallways. Patients and families have access to the solitude of multiple greenspaces located throughout the hospital. Having to stay at a hospital for weeks or months on end takes a toll on families, so the hospital was built in the booming Muller Development-full of restaurants, hotels, grocery stores, and Austin's children's museum, The Thinkery. Instead of hospital food, a family can step out and eat at a sit-down restaurant. Between treatments, a mother can take her children to have some fun at the museum. It's this specialized care and commitment to the kids that makes Dell Children's an obvious choice for our fundraising efforts each and every year.

Since 2008, Extra Life has raised more than $22 million to help children's hospitals around the world provide critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment, research and charitable care. It's my sincere hope that you'll find it in your heart to support our efforts with a donation that will go directly to Dell Children's. Your donation is tax-deductible and ALL PROCEEDS go to help kids.  I need your help to reach our goal #ForTheKids.  Please make a safe, easy donation online today. On behalf of the Extra Life Austin Guild, the Children's Medical Foundation of Central Texas, and especially the patients, parents, administrators, nurses and doctors of Dell Children's Medical Center…  THANK YOU for your donation and support of our efforts!

Donations stay local to fund critical treatments, healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care.
