Pitch Extra Life to your company, start a team and create a plan to fundraise for Extra Life at work. Even if your co-workers aren't on your team, help your co-workers learn more about Extra Life by helping them sign-up.
Your Target Dates:
November-December 2022 is the perfect time to ask your boss, teammates, executives, your department, employees you manage, or HR department if they'd be interested in supporting your member hospital of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals via Extra Life before next year. You're welcome to create a team and company plan to fundraise on whatever date works best for you (not just Game Day in November).
PLENTY OF COMPANIES SUPPORT GREAT CAUSES... BUT WHAT IF THEY ALL SUPPORTED EXTRA LIFE?
You know the power of Extra Life. Maybe it was your family member that's been treated by a member hospital of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. It could be that one friend who helped welcome you into the Extra Life community and is your fundraising teammate. Or maybe you found out about Extra Life at a gaming convention. However you discovered Extra Life, we're grateful you're here and we want more people like you that are passionate about gaming for an awesome cause!
It takes all of us to change kids' health to change the future. By rallying around a company-wide employee activation and helping your co-workers sign-up for Extra Life, we can bring even more unrestricted funds to the 170 member hospitals of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in the United States and Canada.

What is 'Bring Extra Life to Work'?
This is a way to bring Extra Life to co-workers or a chance to start a company-wide fundraising campaign. By bringing Extra Life to work, participants can help ideate around company-wide fundraising campaigns by talking to HR departments/bosses. Other options include adding participants to existing teams or encouraging co-workers to donate to personal fundraising pages.

What if they ask to speak to someone from CMN Hospitals?
CMN Hospitals is here to support this initiative and the Extra Life team never wants participants to feel like they’re on an island. If participants have questions about fundraising, there are a ton of great resources on the Extra Life Asset Library to use. Start here with the ‘Bring Extra Life to Work’ landing page for resources! How do I convert my individual participant page to a Team page?
There are three ways for you to become a Team Captain:
1. The first and easiest way is during your initial registration. When you sign up for your Extra Life account, you can select "Create a Team". From there, you can enter your name and details. In the process of creating the team, you automatically become the Team Captain.
2. If you are already registered as an individual participant, you can become a team captain via your participant dashboard. On the righthand panel, you will see an option to "Change Team Membership". From there, you will create a team and, in doing so, become the Team Captain.
3. If you are already a registered member of a team and you would like to be switched to being the Team Captain (in agreement with the current Team Captain), you can email firstname.lastname@example.org and we can assist in switching you into the Team Captain role.
Where do I submit my efforts (when they said yes/when I make the ask)?
Help the Extra Life team by letting us know what helped or didn’t assist your quest to bring Extra Life to work. If your company said, ‘yes’ and is doing a fundraising campaign, we want to know! Make sure to fill out the form on the ‘Bring Extra Life to Work’ campaign landing page so we can celebrate together. We'll send a feedback form to those who accepted the quest.
What if my company says, "in a few months" or, "later/next year"?
That's okay. Small wins are still wins. Even if your company didn't have time or isn't interested in fundraising in the immediate future, ask if you can still promote Extra Life to employees to fundraise on their own time. Becoming a team captain or asking for donations to your personal page is always encouraged!
