The Cut & Dry

Hello everyone! Jak is back with a plan of attack for this year's Extra-Life Gaming Marathon!

YEAR 11!

The Cryton Crusaders are back and plan to start promoting fundraising efforts earlier than November. Currently our Team Goal is set at $1000, while I will be aiming for a personal goal of $500. I'm sure with my fellow teammates/friends/family (and sometimes even complete strangers) helping throughout the year we will be able to smash through those goals!

Extra Life has added Milestones and Incentives to their fundraising program, and I while I don't have anything mapped out, I am open to ideas!

Below are the details about the Extra Life Game Day 2024 24-Hour Gaming Marathon:

Extra Life Game Day 2024: 11/2/2024 

Time: 12am Midnight Saturday (11/2) - 12am Midnight Sunday (11/3)

Personal Donation Goal: $500 | Team Donation Goal: $1000

Hopefully both Team Cryton Crusaders and I can hit those goals, but honestly, any amount of money raised is a tremendous help and greatly appreciated!

The Gaming Line-Up

As done previously, I'll be sticking with the Midnight Fri/Sat to Midnight Sat/Sun schedule, so people can jump in whenever they feel like on Saturday (or stay the entire time) and still be able to sleep in on Sunday. Most people work standard jobs after all!

Over the years we've played games of Vault Wars, Marvel Legendary, Legendary Encounters: Aliens and Predator, Foretold: Rise of a God, Ascension, Splendor, 7 Wonders, Valeria: Card Kingdoms, Lanterns, Talisman, and many more. However, as always, I will have suggested listings. There's also a chance I will be playing video games on Twitch this time around. Here are the potentials:

There's a small rundown of the possible games I will be engaged in during the official 24-Hour marathon on November 2nd, 2024 and other events (like my own private marathons, which will likely focus on video games over board games). I'm sure I'll be adding more to the list as time goes on!

Twitch Out With Me

It is possible I will be attempting to live stream some of these games. I managed to figure out Twitch last year, so hopefully I can get a refresher in before the marathon and be ready to rock when it hits. No promises, though! I will send out notifications if using the platform at any time throughout the year.

The Standard Issue
