TO BOLDLY GO!
Welcome to our Extra Life Team's fundraising page! The Weekend Warrirors Team is comprised of Playstation 4 gamers who play the game, Star Trek Online.
The group, or 'fleet', was founded by Fleet Admiral and Team Captain, Dave Doan, in October 2016. With over 50 active gamers in the fleet from around the world, we decided in 2017 to use our favorite past time as a way to fundraise for children. Our team is on a mission to help sick and injured kids and we need your help.
The Hospital of choice we have selected to support is Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto, Canada. Sick Kids Hospital treats thousands of children each year, regardless of their illness or inury. These kids are facing scary stuff like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and injuries they may get from just being a kid. Our very own Team Captain, Dave Doan, was a patient of Sick Kids between the ages of 4 and 13.
To help raise funds and awareness for these sick and injured kids, we're participating in this huge worldwide movement called Extra Life. Gamers of all kinds pledge to play everything from video games to board games and tabletop RPG's for 24 hours! It's our sincere hope that you'll find it in your heart to support our efforts with a monthly pledge or one-time gift that will go directly to the hospital we have chosen to support.
Your donation is tax-deductible and will make miracles happen for families who desperately need them. To make a safe and easy online donation to a member of our team, click on the "Roster" tab and then on a participant's name.
We need your help to reach our goal For The Kids. Thank you so much for supporting our team's efforts!
