Extra Life 2020

Apóyame!
We're raising money for KU Pediatrics at the University of Kansas Medical Center through Extra Life!

planet strikes back

This year, we are hosting a weekend full of online events! We want to thank the following for their generous support and assistance to bring about the Planet Strikes Back Weekend: Nebraska Furniture Mart, Boulevard Brewing Company, US Toy Magic and Costume Shop, Screenland Armour Theatre, Unified Esports Association, and Dustin Evans Photography.

our Extra life Story

Since 2014, Planet Comicon Kansas City has been a big supporter of Extra Life by raising awareness, offering booth space and program space, and more! For even longer, we've been a big support of children's hospitals in Kansas City.

Since we cannot gather in person this year for our annual convention, we are changing our Extra Life efforts to fundraising!

How can i get involved?

There are several ways you can help!

1) Donate

It’s as easy as pressing this big green button or the one at the top of the page! Thank you for donating to our incredible cause!

Where does the money go?

Your tax-deductible donation goes directly towards KU Medical Center's Pediatrics unit to help with COVID-19 relief and other medical needs of children and their families. It does NOT go to the national office -- but straight to our community!

Last year, KU Medical Center spent Extra Life funds on equipment such as new fall-proof mattresses, the Happy Bottoms program to give diapers to needy families, meal & gas cards to help with the financial strain of traveling and spending time at hospitals, an entire renovation of their Pediatric Center in Prairie Village -- and more!
