Welcome to my Extra-Life fundraising page. Through Extra-Life, I am raising money for the Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. This is my eleventh year taking part in this incredible event, and to date I have raised over $25,000 CAD for the Stollery. But I need your help. This year, I am trying to raise over $2000 CAD.

If you choose to donate, your money would go directly towards helping the hospital so they can take care of kids. The Stollery sees 317,000 patients every year, consisting of children facing terrifying hardships like cancer, leukemia, cystic fibrosis, and worse. They can't continue to provide their incredible services without the support of donors and campaigns like Extra-Life.

As I stated above, your donation goes directly to the Stollery. 100% of every donation goes straight to helping kids. Donations above $20 CAD are tax-deductible as well, and you will receive a receipt in the mail shortly after the event.

About Me

My name is Cade Bengert, and I am an avid supporter of Extra-Life. I have seen what the hospital can do, and personally owe a lot to the amazing people that work there. My wife received countless treatments, tests, and consults at the Stollery as a child due to heart disease. Her sister was there for several mental and physical concerns. My family would be drastically different if it weren't for the Stollery. Many of them wouldn't be here today if it weren't for them.

In addition to Extra-Life, I am a classroom teacher, as well as a martial arts instructor. I have had countless students who have been treated at the Stollery for things ranging from heart disease, intestinal issues, MS, cystic fibrosis, autism, and more. I have seen what the Stollery can do, and I want to help it run in any way I can. It is an incredible organization, and it deserves your support.

About Extra-Life

Extra Life is a Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraising program within the gaming community. Participants fundraise year-round and pledge to game for 24 hours with one goal: to save and improve the lives of sick and injured kids. Funds raised stay local to help pediatric patients at 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across North America. Since 2008, Extra Life has raised more than $30 million for member hospitals. The movement, formed by gamers bonded by passion, is committed to saving and improving the lives of local kids.

Fundraising Milestone Rewards

Now, I have learned that having some good fundraising goals and subsequent rewards for people can make all the difference in the world, and make or break a successful fundraising campaign. In the past, my rewards for meeting certain goals have included dying my hair purple, wearing my younger sister's clothing to school, waxing my legs, shaving my head, walking around West Edmonton Mall in a dress, and a Stollery Tattoo.

2024 Rewards

$1000 - Giant Gummy Bear Challenge

At $1000, I will purchase a 5lbs gummy bear, and attempt to eat it on stream. During the stream, people will be able to donate to make me eat more, eat other things, and various other punishments.

$2000 - Guitar Giveaway

At $2000, I will build a kit guitar and give it away to one winning donor. This will not be a fully custom guitar, but will be built from a kit and customized within those confines. There will be a draw for the winner that will be streamed for transparency.
