Good morning! I’m MoltenSlowa, lover of Halo, community, and things that can help other people. But this isn’t about me, this is an invitation to you to join with me in playing Halo for 24 hours to play games, have fun, and heal others.
Why am I doing this?
Ever since Extra Life was announced, I’ve always wanted to do it but never had a weekend free to do it...until now. I owe the Halo community a ton for the ways that they’ve shaped my life, and this is one of my ways I’m giving back!
At PAX Prime 2012, I really felt the sense of family that we have. It didn’t matter who I was or where I was from, everyone in our community treated me like I belonged. I was fortunate enough to spend some time with 343 Industries, Bungie, Halo.Bungie.Org, Grifball, ReadyUpLive, Waypoint moderators, HaloGAFers, and loads more people and communities. I can say that without a doubt, I have truly felt just how amazing the Halo community as a whole is, and I’m incredibly jealous (with love) of everyone who gets to work alongside them every day.
Developers, moderators, community managers, coordinators, posters, lurkers, and the rest of the wonderful community I am proud to be part of: Thank you for making me who I am today. <3
So tell your friends, tell your family, and get as many people as you can to join us in playing Halo! Doesn’t matter if they’re HaloGAF, HBO, Grifball, Roosterteeth, Waypoint, HaloCouncil, or another community. Let’s all pull together with the Halo community spirit that we all know and love!

Our team is on a mission to save kids through video games, and we need your help.
Each of us has chosen our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital where thousands of children are treated each year, regardless of their family's ability to pay. These kids are facing scary stuff like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and injuries from accidents to name just a few.
On Oct. 20th, 2012, We'll attempt to play an epic 24 hour video game marathon and it's our sincere hope that you'll find it in your heart to support us with a monthly pledge or one-time gift that will go directly to that team member's chosen hospital.
Your donation is tax-deductible and ALL PROCEEDS go to help kids.
Last year, Extra Life raised more than 1.2 million dollars to save kids, but in 2012 our goals, just like the needs of the kids we serve, are much, much higher.
