A cranial reconstruction surgery at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Indiana saved the life of our team captain’s infant daughter over three years ago. After her recovery, Adrienne and Jim Jones decided to host an Extra Life board gaming marathon with their community game night to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Over the last three years, in conjunction with our sister team, Great Big Table, the St Peter's Game Night team has been able to raise a combined $13,611. Last year alone, we raised $7,184, which was more than we had raised during our first two years combined. As all of our team members had designated Indiana's Riley Hospital for Children to receive their funds, all of that money went to an institution that has touched the lives of so many in our community. This work couldn't happen without you, our incredible team members, our friends and families, and the incredible support of St Peter's and the Evansville community.

This year, we're at it for the fourth year in a row!

Saint Peter's Highland UCC is hosting a board gaming event throughout the weekend of October 23rd (6pm - 9pm), October 24th (7am - 10pm), and October 25th (noon - 6pm), 2015.

Across those three days, our team members and their Extra Life supporters will play an EPIC 24 (and more) hours of board games to raise money for Riley Hospital for Children, Indiana's Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. We actually ended up playing around 27 hours, again, last year.

If you are a member of the tri-state community, we encourage you to come on over and play games to help raise money to heal sick and injured kids and provide hope and healing for their families. If you have the time and want to help a great cause through playing board games, you can also join our team (email for the details).

More details about our 24 Hour Extra Life Board Game Marathon Weekend are being added all the time. So watch this space!

=== Play-to-Win Program ===

Thanks to the generous donations of game publishers like Alderac Entertainment Group (AEG), APE Games, Cool Mini or Not, Greater Than Games Games, Floodgate Games, Game Salute, Gen 42 Games, North Star Games, R & R Games, Stone Blade Entertainment and members of the Saint Peter's Game Night community (with more being added each week), we are able to offer our third annual Play-to-Win Program as a part of our Extra Life weekend.

What is Play-to-Win?

Play-to-Win is one of the most fun aspects of our weekend. Due to the generosity of our game sponsors (please support them as a thank you for their generosity), we have a library of some of the best hobby board games for our guests to play and enjoy throughout the game marathon.

Each time a guest plays (or teaches) a game, they earn a ticket to a lucky draw drawing for that game at the end of the event. There will also be opportunities for more tickets for any game by making additional donations to Riley that weekend. During the last hour of the event, we give all of these games away to the guests that played and enjoyed them!

Over the past two years, we have given away over 180 games that our guests learned to play and came to love over the course of our board game marathon weekend!

Below you will also find a link to a list of games that are at the event for those that would like to purchase them from local retailers in the future.

Click the button to check out our Play-to-Win board game library for this year's game marathon, complete with links to the rules (and sometimes video tutorials) of the games so you can get a head start on learning them (remember, teaching games earns a ticket as well).

Titles are being added regularly, so check back often:

=== Third Annual World Series of Clabber ===

Clabber is Evansville's game. Here's your chance to be Evansville's champion!

The World Series of Clabber will be held Saturday afternoon, October 24th.

Register your team for the second annual World Series of Clabber championship. Registration requires a $10 donation per player. First and second place finishers will receive a trophy and be added to the permanent World Series of Clabber Champions plaque.

The World Series of Clabber tournament has a 1pm start time on Saturday, October 24th.

=== Silent Auction ==

We will have our third annual silent auction as part of our board game marathon this year. Thanks to generous donations, we will have items ranging from theater tickets, to two admissions to a safari park in Ohio, to admission to local attractions and gift cards. Items are  constantly being added, so make sure to visit throughout the weekend and bid on items for a wonderful cause.

=== 4th Annual Community Dinner & Wits and Wagers Game Show ===

Starting around 5pm on October 24th, we'll have a free light meal together as a community (usually various soups and/or chili and sandwiches) followed by playing an enlarged version of the popular trivia game, Wits and Wagers, with everyone in attendance. This has been one of the highlights of each weekend and is a lot of fun. Make sure to bring plenty of single dollar bills for the game.

=== Frequently Asked Questions ===

1. Do I have to join the St Peter's Game Night or Great Big Table Extra Life teams in order to participate?

Don't get us wrong. We would LOVE to have your join our Extra Life fund raising teams. If you are interested, contact Jim Jones at

Our team members are amazing people. Some of them have been with us since we started our game marathons four years ago and we're a very tight group. However, we are also a friendly and open group and are always happy to welcome more into the fold. Our team members have accounted for over 60% of the funds that we have directly raised over the past three years! They also help us run the event, learn (and teach) games, and help us to set everything up and tear it all down before and after the marathon. They even help with thank you cards to our wonderful sponsors. They are also our main source of advertising. Word of mouth is very important to us. And, again, we can't stress this enough. We would LOVE for your to join one of our sister Extra Life teams (either St Peter's Game Night or Great Big Table), but we also understand that it might not be possible for everyone.

So, our game marathon, much like the monthly game night that it grew out of, is open to the community. If you have some spare time at any time during the marathon just drop by St Peter's (Hightland) UCC at 7014 Darmstadt Road in Evansville, IN as our guest and join us to play some fun board games.

2. Do I have to play games for 24 Hours?

If you are a team member, you are highly encouraged to join us for the full weekend. We've built in at least 24 hours of gaming time to accomodate you. However, if it doesn't work out with your schedule, come play with us when you can and make up the rest of your hours on your own time. You can also make up the time during our monthly community game nights on the third Friday of every month from 6 - 9pm. November's community game night is on the 20th.

If you are a guest (ie anyone not directly on one of our Extra Life fund raising teams), just drop in and play throughout the weekend when it is most convenient for you . We have a team of players that is going to be playing the whole weekend. We'd love for them to have people with whom to play games. You're actually helping us out by dropping in and giving us a chance to teach games to and play games with your and your friends and family. And you could win a game out of the deal. Just check out the information about our Play-to-Win program in the section above. If you have a good time, leave us a donation. It goes to a great cause. If you'd like to get some extra tickets for more opportunities to take home a game, donate a few more bucks. Again, its for a great cause.

The bottom line is that we'll do our best to make sure that you and your family and friends have a fun time together sitting around a table while playing some great board games for a worthy cause.
