Andrew Eisen here. Starting at noon PST on November 7th, 2015, I will play video games for 24 hours straight to raise money for the Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego. It's my sincere hope that you'll find it in your heart to support my efforts with a monthly pledge or one-time gift. Your donation is tax-deductible and ALL PROCEEDS go to help kids.
I will be live streaming the entire marathon so if you'd like to hang out and watch the fun, you can do so at twitch.tv/andreweisen. Head on over and click the "Follow" button to be notified when I start the stream! Additionally, I will be streaming games for an hour or two every Saturday at 2p PST until the big event!
Never heard of Rady Children's Hospital? My friend Diane describes her experience with the organization:
One of the most painful things for a parent is having to check your child into the hospital. Whether it be for emergency treatment or to try to get ahead of an existing condition, there is always plenty of fear and uncertainty that invades your thoughts.
We know that Rady Children’s Hospital is known far and wide for their extremely high level of skilled physicians and that are nationally recognized for providing medical excellence. But I can tell you it’s the actual “care” of their patients and families that makes all the difference at Children’s.
Both my daughters have been patients at Children’s. I can tell you firsthand that, from the minute you enter the doors, you are treated like a guest at a luxury resort. Fear and doubt dispel quickly because at Rady Children’s, there is only room for cheerfulness and positive attitudes! The staff, nurses and doctors really go the extra distance to educate and involve families in the treatment and care of their children. This leaves little time for parents to feel “alone” or helpless. Every patient is a star at Children’s, and it’s evident when you witness the comforting and positive interactions between the employees and patients.
In addition to being ranked the #7 hospital in the nation for Pediatric Orthopedics, at Rady Children’s, they pair their medical skill with the special weapon of individual care. Both my girls recovered fully from their bone conditions and have led successful, athletic lives ever since.
I can’t say enough how fortunate I think we are in San Diego to have such a great hospital locally. Many in the US don’t have access to such wonderful pediatric care as we do here. I hope you will consider supporting Rady Children’s Hospital in their efforts to continue providing such excellent patient care for years to come!
